I heard on World Service that the moon was in eclipse so I looked out but it was full and bright as day. Thick frost on the cars. Looked at the time, it was only 3 am. I knew the time for UK was 05:15 -ish . 5am I looked out again and waited until there was a dirty splodge over the moon but not what I'd call blood red. I got the binoculars and sat watching. Too flippin' cold to go outside despite the fact I like astronomy. The dark moved across the moon then suddenly it disappeared. A thick bank of cloud had come over, so I gave up.
Bird water had frozen solid ,unlike yesterday when I could break it with a hammer, so boiled the kettle and poured the hot water into one spot so it would melt. Then boiled up more water. Two robins together on the bird table one fat fluffed up, the other was sleeker. so no mistaking I had two , having not seen "ours" for several days. The forsythia by the window is full of sparrows, they are certainly pecking at something.

Thank you for the good wishes.. When I was a young man, I could remember birthdays. I remember getting cards with halfpenny postage stamps of The "Old" King. Oddly I have been decluttering (Yes, Still), and found not only mail in George VI envelopes, but reports, notes, towns, jobs that I had forgotten. ... and copy invoices ... Strewth, How prices/costs have changed. For Example, Train to London, Sleeper to Carlisle, a weeks accommodation plus daily travel to The Power Station I was working on, then all the return journeys, and I was only getting £80 a week to cover costs and live.. Also Remember driving to/from Gloucester, ' Was involved (Professionally you'll understand) with the Secretariat, Home for the weekend and I saw the TV News. Film of the Coopers Hill Cheese rolling pursuit. It had been within sight of where I'd been working and one of the women chasing this cheese was one I'd been working with - BUT, without her Glasses - gawd nose how she could have even seen the cheese? ... and that Manager who thought that I must be getting Bored in Cheltenham so would I'd like to try Gliding (With an aircraft I mean, I could not just flap my arms).
People have written books on flimsier events - there was .... Oh nevermind, I'd better get back to finding that Nurse Docket to geyt my blood test appoint.

Happy Birthday Glo.
Good Afternoon , nothing much to report today apart from it's not quite so freezing cold.
Had a phone call from someone saying my computer was full of viruses. I said it can't be as I use antiseptic wipes . Poor lady didn't seem to understand me almost as much as I tried to understand her, certainly not a local accent.
