. . . she has a very sore eye. It was weeping this morning, by lunchtime it was swollen and looked awful, at 2 pm I was at the vets, she is now back pumped full of stuff with eye drops and we have a return appointment for 9 am tomorrow.
What joy!
(Probably a bracken splinter, just hoping it has departed as we don't know.)

Animal problems are always a worry - to state the obvious, they cant tell the doc/vet what the problem is _Are vets cleverer than vets? Gptta go.. His gingerness is demanding food - I can tell because his claws are scratching the timber from the doorframes...

She was back to the vet yesterday morning, was kept in and operated on, she returned home 'subdued' at about 5 pm. Skye's version of 'subdued' is any other dog going hyper . . .
Her eye is currently stitched shut and hopefully the stitches will come out tomorrow morning when we go back for a check up. The vet did not find the source of the problem when operating, so it is now fingers crossed that we don't have round two in a week or so!

Skye can now see as her stitches were taken out yesterday - she is Not Happy that drops are to be applied several times a day. She is also Not Happy that normal activity such as chasing balls is currently off the agenda, AND that she still has to wander round looking like an ambulant furry lamp. Fingers crossed though she is doing well :-)

Oh ... Did the Vet indicate when her life will get back to normal.

Fingers crossed all will be well. Vets must be very clever having to work out what is wrong, docs have to be clever when the patient is unconcious, but vets face the non communication every time.

Eye now much better - so she's got kennel cough (most likely caught from the dog that an idiot was walking up and down by the doors at the surgery when she went in with the bad eye. Said idiot had been asked to remove his dog from the waiting room as it was coughing . . . all he could do was complain to anyone who went past that he was not allowed to sit inside!!) Apart from coughing she's fine.
