I wonder if my Ol' Mate Henry inspired that?
and talking of inspiration... There is a coffee shop, come handcraft Cafe. There are pre-made pottery for clents - especially kids - for bods in the coffeeshop to paint, and have them glazed and Baked. One of the available premoulded is of a MERMAID... Is this a sculpture of you?

I'm not the "Miss Mermaid" judge, so couldn't specify. Seem to remember her tail curved up to her arm - Does that help? But .... 't did remind me of Lowestoft: where the Mermaids hang out. As does Clarence Birdseye Factory on the Dockside, So I bought a frozen Cod. Does that help you reminisce?
Er...... there are chilly damp days when I feel like a frozen cod.
I remember well the herring season in Gt Yarmouth when I was a child, though. Loved it. Alas all gone now. There was a Bird's Eye factory there at Yarmouth as well. I went past it when taking my driving test and the examiner was looking at it with great interest and (apparently) not paying much attention to me. Whichever he was doing, it put me at ease. I passed. First time.

As a kid... (yes, I was once) my Parents took me on Holiday at Oulton Broad (The railway had parked a retired Railway Carriage as a Holiday home at "Oulton Broad South" - A bit bigger than the traditional Caravan). Their were loads of tipper trucks driven over the railway bridge toward the dockside in Lowestoft, all following signs to "B E Vining" ' twas of course feildloads of torn up Pea Vines to be stripped of pea-pods, and the Pea-pods de-podded for Mr B E's (Clarence Brdseye) machinery to blanche and freeze within an hour of harvesting The adverts were something like "As soon as the Pod went Pop" I astounded at how so manys acres could be converted into bags-full of freezer product. But I wonder how so much product (Fish and Peas) could make other eateres... or for that matter, How many Tons of humans could consume so many peas... Never mind, Insignifigant to the Bernard Mathews Turkey output down the road.

What the bloody hell was that?!? Jill hallucinating that there is someone helping her? I only lasted 53 seconds so maybe it improved but I doubt it!
Just noticed this thread and have to agree. Wtf was that all about? There seem to be a few of these little vignettes on the go, I quite liked the birdsong one and I think there is a new one with Shula & Jill pontificating on the wonders of Spring only I haven’t heard it properly.
Suppose it was something thought up by a Committee
Your secrets are safe with me, I wasn't even listening
Yes there was one with Tracy showing "us listeners ´round t´village" and it was so cringeworthy! I normally like Tracy´s character but within context of the soap, interacting with other characters and being part of various SLs, not hamming it up saying, "There´s my much older sister, Susan and ooh, aren´t I a right case?" Or words to that effect. Dreadful
In Elizabethan times the symbolic meaning of the colour indigo was power, importance and wealth.
