People from a jaws group I'm a member of on Facebook have recommended 47 metres down which I've not managed to see until tonight as it's on film four.
Just wondered what films others have watched old or new that they enjoyed, or didn't for that matter and recommend avoiding

I can't really help here, Steve, as we hardly ever go to the cinema. The last time I went was to see episode 7 of Star Wars, and that was a few years ago.

Apart from the very first one I've not watched star wars found it boring tbh.
I don't really go to the cinema anymore tend to watch on Amazon prime.

I went to see Little Women with my mum the other week at the pictures. It was brilliant although I was sick (vertigo, possibly made worse by sitting at the front). So spent the last 20 minutes smelling of sick unfortunately. I absolutely loved the film. I've not seen 47 metres down, will go and Google

We've been to see "1917" today, our first trip to the cinema in years. It is a really excellent film, I can't praise it too highly. Very moving and utterly unlike typical war movies. I thoroughly recommend it.

We both have a Cineworld monthly ticket so we go to the cinema frequently - at least once a week on average. We also loved 1917 - it really made you think. Today we have seen A beautiful day in the neighbourhood, with Tom Hanks and Matthew Rhys. Definitely worth seeing. Both of them were fantastic.

OH and I have just hit on a project for being in isolation that neatly combines this thread and the 'what have you read' thread - we have discovered that there are films made from 6 Anne Tyler books so we are going to watch all of them 😁😷

For those who enjoy the king Kong films I recommend rampage Dwayne Johnson, is in it.
It also includes a king kong sized wolf and crocodile

Can't remember when I last went to the cinema. Before the boys left home and that was in thre mid 90s.
We enjoy the old films on Talking Pictures.

My Husband loves both of those. The Smithsonian has had some really good docu/dramas around the American Civil War and the emancipation of Slaves.
The only problem we find are the Adverts, but, otherwise great educational programmes
