He's got his comeuppance at last, but will he be charged? Ruth really ripped into him didn't she ππ but of course he turned on the waterworks ππ to get her back onside.

Why can't he be written as a young man who is trying to get a business going but needs to realise he should ask for help, advice and to do a business course? Why all the stolen stuff nonsense. No need for a criminal element. 'Drama' for the sake of it. We had enough of that with Freddie.
I didn't like any of that.

Goodness only knows where it is heading. Maybe it's a result of us all saying that nothing bad ever happened to the Archer family, only the Grundys. Now things seem to be better for them and worse for the Archers. Perhaps the scriptwriters have gone 'woke' or whatever the ridiculous word is.

Josh was told by his parents that there was no place for him on the farm, so he started his own business. All he has had ever since is criticism, plus demands that he help out whenever Princess Pip is otherwise engaged. No-one has thought to suggest that he should take a course in running a business. It isn't something you learn in school, no matter what your A levels are. Ruth seems to have assumed that Josh would pick this kind of thing up by osmosis, but what he really needed was help, practical help. Ruth is damn all use to anyone, especially when she starts yelling. She sounds like a Cullercoats fishwife at times like this.

Thank you Judith. His Farmer parents seem to have said, "Don't do what you want to, Just do what we tell you" ... Which back in the dark days was that Josh should go to University for some unspecified aim, rather than paying his own way. ... even when it was obvious that Pip was to be the next Boss at Brookfield, With or without accruing a tame Cowkeeper (can't remember his name), just as Her Mum had with Sam, whilst she (Pip) can cammadreer any lesser brookfield inhabitant to tend to her child, Form an agreement with Adam's Neighbouring farm to graze his "Herbal Lay's" Which she could back out for at will without agreement, or engage her mates to "Re-wild" without even Studying the agreement, simply allowing a Partner to sign it, and then abandon it.
Why the Hell are we listening to this drivel of a Dis-organised unfamily.. RUN JOSH.... The geezer who pointed you to a Solicitor is much more Humane than your ragtag "Family", or, better stilll.... Go and Find Dick Barton to produce a true-to-Life Story.

And it seems to induce such nastiness about the characters elseboard.

His parents run a business and should have helped him instead of being so critical and negative. Running a business isn't part of any A level course as far as I know, and Josh was left to his own devices while his pare ts worshipped at the altar of Princess Pip.

I agree. He was talking good sense.
Josh needs both advice and encouragement, two things he doesn't get from his parents, who don't seem to be particularly interested in him.

What exactly has happened now? It refers to βrecent eventsβ in the spoilers as if something dreadful has happened. I know he got arrested, are they charging him with theft? Handling stolen goods?
I would like to hear some soul searching from his parents who had exactly no time for him to be a paid up farmer, just an unpaid skivvy.

Agreed re his parents. That they told him there was no job for him on the farm seems to have been forgotten by them. And why Ben thinks Josh owes him anything, including unlimited use of his car, is beyond me. how on earth has Ben been damaged by Josh getting into trouble? Josh has not so far been charged with anything, but his brother still seems to be having a go at him every time they're together. I would find his family's treatment of him pretty poor, but it's even worse when compared with the worship accorded to Princess Pip.

What a vile twisted family they have put at the heart of the thing. Did Phil and Jill mistreat their four like these lot do?

No, I don't think they did. Phil and Jill seemed to run a very contented household. The only disagreements were between Phil and David over farming matters, just as Phil had argued with Dan.
