Yes she is pretty feckless and so I´m relieved for all concerned that this was a false alarm. Maybe Kate´s new broody feelings will encourage her to mother those children she´s already got. We can but hope!
In Elizabethan times the symbolic meaning of the colour indigo was power, importance and wealth.
Jakob does seem to like Kate, despite all her faults. He doesn't change his own ways just to please her, and anything he dislikes he ignores. It's a different way of treating her from that adopted by any member of her family.
Jenny alternates gushes and pleads, Brain is sarcastic, which is wasted on her, and everyone else just gives in and does whatever Kate wants at any one time.
But he lets her get away with things she does/doesn't. Porridge in the microwave - she 'forgets' - so he cleans it up. He tells her to go back to Peggy - she talks over him about her bed and she gets her way. He might like her - but I don't think he'll improve her. She'll either drive him up the wall and he'll chuck her out or he'll become a doormat.

You're totally right of course, Merms. It is for the best that there isn't a baby but she did sound genuinely upset. I think she was upset there wasn't a baby but also she seemed to be devastated that she didn't know her body as well as she thought she did - almost as if her body had let her down.
I know fur and chocolate aren't a good mix - but I can't resist.
