Good morning from cool and cloudy but quite bright Oxfordshire.
Sorry to see that, Judith.
OH has been for his swim.
YD has her artwork live-stream this afternoon.
I only have to bake cheese scones for tomorrow's church cafe. We have enough cakes left from last week. Fruit cakes keep well in tins and JB froze the sponge cakes.
Last night's gardening club went well. The speaker had lots of plants for sale and I managed to get a hanging basket with a new variety of yellow pansies. I'd have liked to have three different colours but it would have been unfair on other people. The prices were so low, because he's a wholesaler, that all the plants sold.
We are fortunate to have a nursery near us which is run basically by and for allotment holders. It's very good for bedding plants and plants for containers, such as geraniums and petunias. We'll be going along there when the weather improves.
We also have a wonderful nursery which sells all kinds of unusual plants, and really knows what they're selling. They have part of the nursery set out and planted with pond, rockery, etc., so that you can see how many of the plants work in situ. They don't sell much in the way of bedding, or the stuff in Dobbies, but if you want some unusual perennials, it's the place to go.
I went to our local Morrisons this morning. No hand gel but plenty of liquid soap, no paracetamol and very little ibuprofen, but otherwise everything seemed to be in stock.
Morning, villagers! Another bright sunny morning, but there's some frost.
I had a slightly better night, but am rather depressed by the time it's taking to recover. OH tells me that I'm being silly, that of course I won't recover in a couple of days, but I usually bounce back and I'm not doing so.
Anyway, I will do more work on the photos today, as well as tackling the ironing which is piling up in the kitchen.
I have been out for my constitutional 3 miles whilst catching up with one & a half Omnibus episodes of TA. I really wonder why I bother, what with the B@ Ambridge and Tracey’s Love life it’s all getting sillier. Anyway, I am back sitting having a quiet cup of tea with what sounds like the builders in next door but is in fact a noisy Blue Tit preparing the nesting box on the side of my bungalow for future family
