It's a rather dull and overcast day here. I'll read the Saturday paper as usual, then I'm going to church to hear a recital by our very talented organ scholar. She won two prizes in a local music festival recently and is such a lovely young woman.
Are the pods soluble? We're lucky in that we have a 'fill your own container' shop in town so I get laundry liquid there. It works well and doesn't have any overpowering 'perfume' as some do. I think there'll be a lot more of that sort of thing as time goes on.
Only a quick visit because I'm feeling pretty awful. I didn't wake up until eleven. Last night I didn't feel hungry, and left OH and YD to get their own dinner. It was stew so they could help themselves. They both then went upstairs, YD to do some work in her room and OH to read in our bedroom. I suddenly felt very nauseous, and before I could even grab the waste paper bin beside my recliner I was horribly sick. I called out but nobody could hear me from upstairs. I managed to struggle upstairs and into the en-suite, where I took off my dress and sat on the loo seat. That's where I spent the rest of the evening, occasionally being sick or spitting into the shower next to me (TMI, I know). I just couldn't move. Eventually OH, who had taken my dress to soak (I hope it doesn't bleach out), came and helped me to bed. He slept in the spare room last night.
This morning OH is cleaning the Eglu. I haven't seen YD yet. I'm going to be taking it easy today.
Chicken report: Pearl and Griselda have laid eggs this morning.
Hope you are on the mend OW. There’s a lot of it about as they say although I hope that isn’t the lot that has been dominating our lives at the moment.
On the subject of which, I listened to Newswatch this am and one chap said “most people who have contracted Coronavirus have recovered”. In the grand scheme of things more people will succumb to seasonal flu than this new virus. Over the top? We shall see
Your secrets are safe with me, I wasn't even listening
Yes the pods are soluble Merms and although the containers they come in are plastic I use them to store small items or save my coins in when they become empty although a container of them last me for month so I only buy two or three a year.
On the train back from Southport. I got on this train first but it was the wrong train as the train on the next platform was the next train to leave. So I got off the wrong train to walk round to the right train which pulled out as I got to that platform. Meaning i had to walk back to the wrong train and get back on that as it had become the right train
Don't be kind to people. Being kind is seen as a weakness

I started to type somehing, than Looked up a spelling, then lost all I typed - So if you find it .... Been a bit busy today, ending with bumping in to "A natter in the cafe" group. One lady even older than me, has just resurfaced - I must look up Osteoporosis - Sounded nasty and serious.
Sorry to note that OW, and Coockiepus have been unwell - Keep taking the tablets, and getting better
Greetings from mild, cloudy and now rainy Oxfordshire.
This wretched bug hasn't completely gone, though I've slept off the worst of it. I just feel rough now, not sick, only a slight stomach ache. It's messed up the whole of our free weekend. I'd planned to go to a market in Wallingford yesterday, and/or Summertown farmers' market today. Next weekend is our turn to go to Salisbury again to see FiL.
OH is watering the plants in the conservatory. After lunch he'll carry on painting the en-suite. YD is working in her room. No idea what I'll do. I must find something for dinner tonight, though I might not eat anything myself. There's only a bit of leftover stew in the fridge, which YD doesn't want to have again. That's why I wanted to go to a market. Everything else is in the freezer, with no time to defrost it. I think I have a couple of duck breasts in the fridge, which will do for OH and YD.
I couldn't even concentrate on reading the new Hilary Mantel book yesterday, let alone do any crafts or tidy the craft room. I just watched the rugby and some of Crufts. A Facebook friend's dog won the Scruffts Prettiest Bitch category. Other friends had been in a Flyball team but were knocked out of the competition on the first day.
Chicken report: three eggs, from Lilith, Pearl and Griselda.
