I thought Gavin was supposed to be doing the kitchen job. How come poor old Blake was there?

Think a bit of over-acting ... or Overdrafted by the Scripties. I thought Freddie was OK, But Robert??? Normally very controlled seemed to Need someone to blame, but Sometimes "Accidents" have no-one to blame, and Ollie is hardly to blame, and Robert knows that. I would have thought that He would be more concernedo ver his wife tham Blaming...

Not the real Robert at all. But he's desperately worried and not behaving like himself. It happens.

Lynda is critically injured and on 'life support'.
Blake, previously unheard of, has broken his spine but is awake.
Oliver is devastated, especially as he's living with the Grundies.
Robert is distraught and shouting at everyone.
Freddie is denying he's a hero, with good reason as all he did was cry.
Jim is being an all round good egg.
I'm wondering what the whole point of this storyline is? 🥴

I think that's a bit harsh on Freddie. He did pull Lynda out of the wreckage and may have saved her life. The point of the story? We may have to wait and see. Perhaps Carole Boyd wants to be written out. I can see a few possibilities.

She could simply have been eaten by her llamas.
Or got the corona virus.

True, but bear in mind that this storyline will have been planned months ago.
Do llamas eat people?

In Ambridge they could.

Yes Freddie did pull her out in the end, though whether he would have done if Roy hadn't come along and reminded him about the fire exit is a moot point.

I wonder how long it will be before someone in Ambridge mentions the corona virus? Maybe they aren't at risk there as the village lives in a state of self isolation as a whole.
