White rabbits!
Looks like being another fine dry month. Lots of sun to sun ourselves in while were's all supposed to keep indoors.

Pretty warm here too. OH has fixed the solar fountain in the pond. Unfortunately, it uses too much water to have it on spray, so it's just on a jet up and down. It is a small pond!

Greetings from warm and sunny Oxfordshire.
White rabbits! How did it get to be June already?
I had a completely different night from the previous one. I slept for eleven hours! This is one reason why I was late in here. I'd also been dealing with a delivery of smoked salmon, smoked mussels, pâtés and sourdough, and then I had a phone call from a friend who is self-isolating and is climbing the walls with boredom. It was good to have a proper chat.
OH has taken over the housework again while I've been otherwise occupied. He's cleaned the bathrooms. YD has had her online tutorial which was postponed when her tutor's internet crashed. She's been on one of her Discord groups, and as a mod has just had to block a racist.
Chicken report: three eggs, from Pearl(!), Griselda and Dottie. Pearl's egg was thin-shelled and cracked when OH picked it up, so I've already used it in bread dough for BBQ rolls for tonight.
Stay safe.

It would have been my mum’s 104th Birthday today. I do miss her even though she died in 1985. I always think of her on June 1st

.... and another thing... The Strawberries I have bought were not asa good as I remembered from previous years, (although the last pannete was good). But I has a Vague Memory that they were only good in Wimbledon Week .. But there is NOT a Wimbledon Week this Year, so does that mean that we will get NO good Strawberry's,

Been awake since 2 So I've already had a lie-in, abluted, had breakfast and gone and put the recyclables out, all before 5:30. And my eyes are streaming because of hay-fever. Wonder if it's worth re-stocking anti-histamines when I never go out. (Well, hardly ever.)

Good morning from warm and sunny Oxfordshire.
My sympathy, Rosalie. My hay fever is particularly bad this season. Pollen levels are extremely high.
A quick visit because OH and I are off to Faringdon farmers' market which has started again. It's only a small one at the best of times, so it should be easy to stay well away from people. Most of the stallholders already did contactless payment and I'm sure everyone will now.
OH goes to give blood later. I wonder what safety system will be in place.
Chicken report: two eggs this morning, from Griselda and Dottie.
Stay safe.

We've had a mixed day.
I managed to find some bedding plants at the allotmenteers' nursery, but OH backed the car into the metal gates and dinted the bumper. I got most of the stuff planted, but OH seems to have spent too long out in the heat and had chest pains. He does seem better now. Later, I'll be joining a friend's Zoom party. She's 90 today.

Oh dear, I hope your OH is ok. This morning we went for one of our favourite walks only to find the whole area, including the roads, chained off by the police. Apparently on Sunday, 40 cars mostly from Liverpool and Manchester turned up there - all were fined and escorted back to England. Annoying that locals have now lost that area ☹
