White rabbits! Morning, Mermaid. No slithy toves here, but I can hear the birds having a good go at the bird-seed feeder.
A normal morning, I expect, and then my weekly Skype chat this afternoon.

The sun is trying to put in an appearance. Shopping done, hair washed. Things to do including prepare goosegogs and strawberries for the freezer.

Greetings from warm, breezy and now sunny Oxfordshire. We had drizzle this morning. If the weather holds the sheets and duvet covers should dry well.
White rabbits!
Not much to report here. YD has an online tutorial as well as her weekly art live-stream this afternoon. She will combine the two, so her tutor can see how she does her work.
I'm wondering what to cook for dinner tonight. I think it will be pasta shells stuffed with a three cheese mixture in a tomato sauce. We have some slightly past its best asparagus to use up too. I'd hoped this would still be UK but it's Peruvian, so I'll not be buying any more until next year.
Chicken report: two eggs, from Lilith and Dottie.
Stay safe.

Hi each... I could hear the birds, Not Singing, merely coughing in the smoky air.

White rabbits and happy July to all! Cookie, reading about your pasta dish has made my mouth water and cheers to you. I´m having a G&T - with pink rose gin, no less We´ve started July off well here by going to a nearby outdoor swimming pool and enjoying splashing about. I´m waiting for my hb to get back from visiting his dad, who´s pulled a muscle in his back, before we can think about dinner...

I am very excited today as I am meeting some friends in the park this afternoon for alfresco tea and cake, for the first time in 4 months. We usually have coffee about once a week or so and have had weekly Zoom meetings during lock down but these will be the first people outside immediate family I have seen since March, except shop people of course. I just hope it doesn't rain!! 🙈☹

Good morning (just) from mild and now sunny Oxfordshire. As soon as OH set foot outside for his daily walk the heavens opened, but it was only a brief shower.
We've just had our weekly Zoom church cafe coffee morning. It was good to catch up. Once again I was late, but not by too much. OH woke me up in time. I am not a morning person.
Chicken report: four eggs, from Pearl(!), Dottie, Lilith and Griselda.
Stay safe.

It's rather a dull day here, but OH has managed to pick a huge number of strawberries to be prepared for the freezer. They're now hulled and rinsed, so the first lot will be put on a tray to be frozen this afternoon.
I am trying to tidy up various rooms in the house, all of which are in dire need of this. I have far too much "stuff".

Hello everyone. Sorry to start your Wednesday off like this, but we're afraid to say we've received a very troubling report.
Apparently some scoundrels are going around claiming that it is now July.
This is obviously nonsense. We weren't born yesterday. We can smell a hoax a mile off. It couldn't possibly be July - we haven't even had April yet. This is sadly another example of how easily fake news and misinformation can spread on social media.
Next they'll be asking us to believe it's not butter.
Please everyone - stay safe, stay vigilant, and stay alert.

I went into the City today to get my usual Fish and thought I would go into our local Department Store to check that the Armchair I had admired was still available. Travelling up the escalator I paused at the Ladies wear department to see a dress in front of me reduced from £85 to £42 and decided it was made for me. It hangs in my wardrobe awaiting an outing, so pleased with my purchase

You mean you catch the same fish every day? - I bet he's getting pretty fed up with it.
There has been thunder and cloudy here all day, so eventually I decided to risk a trip to the catfood shop (Main shop had no catfood yesterday); Then it started to rain ... With a Vengeance. Perhaps I'll go back to bed?

A lot of strawberries prepared for the freezer, and plenty more still to be picked.
I have started to compile the report booklet for our church's AGM. It should have been held in April, but Covid got in the way, so now we have until the end of October. At last we have a date for the licensing of our new priest - it's to be in early August.

I accidentally posted this on June's thread:
Greetings from cool and grey Oxfordshire.
Not a lot to report here. OH and I were woken in the middle of the night by one of the cats, Jasper, who unknown to us had been asleep under a chair and wanted to go out. It took me ages to go to sleep again, less so for OH. I was awake at 3.09am, when I knew the space station was coming over to the south of us, so I watched its progress from the en-suite window.
YD has had an online tutorial. OH is doing some consultancy work. I've been doing some knitting and crochet.
Pollack with potato wedges, mushrooms and peas for dinner tonight.
Chicken report: two eggs, from Dottie and Lilith.
Stay safe.
