Oh Dear... Just idly took a look at the online Local paper. One) There is a fire and oooodles of Smoke aft The Church on The Hill - Hope my Ol' Grandad is OK two) Extreme storms are threatened this afternoon.
It was 34°C and sunny here earlier. It's still very humid but is a little cooler now. Thunderstorms are due in the Thames Valley but will probably miss us as usual.
I slept late and have made up some of my deficit. It's been too hot to go out as OH and I had hoped. The furthest he's been is the post box along the lane. He's been accepted as a volunteer for prostate cancer research, so has done the required saliva test and sent it in. We'd both volunteered via Biobank to help with Coronavirus research, but had emails a few days ago saying they had enough volunteers. They had needed 10,000 and 97,000 people had responded!
YD has moved her AC and laptop to ED's room on the north side of the house. She's often up late talking to friends or role playing and it keeps me awake. There's only a plasterboard wall and fitted wardrobe between her room and ours. With headphones on YD doesn't realise how loud she is.
The runner beans have finally got to the top of the poles and are flowering. The seeds had arrived very late, but we planted them, climbing French beans, and mangetout peas anyway. The compost I ordered in early May arrived yesterday. Oh well, it will keep.
We are going to have a BBQ this evening, unless the weather deteriorates.
Chicken report: Dottie, Griselda and Lilith have laid eggs.
It has started to rain!

Been hot here today but no good storms to compensate. A few drops of rain this evening. Been sorting out the filing cabinet which has years of papers in it that can be disposed of. 3 bags of shredded paper put out for recycling this morning. And other than that, crocheting.
