Goodnight each - I REALLY needs some beautysleeps - a double dose in fact.. and some Hare Restorer ... and a skivvy ... and a painter decorator... and a Secretary... And a coal fire with a Stoker...and .........
Teddy - GP and I think the valve at the top of my stomach has weakened over the years and now doesn't close properly. Thus acid can come back up, irritating the oesophagus and throat. It can be treated by surgery to tighten it.

1997, GLO. I've had the car for more than twenty years.
Yes, I thought it was a modern car. When I was even poorer than I am now, I did some taxicabbing work. The Local Bus Co., had a new fleet of buses, and for a whole day I kept meeting a bus (Suffix T). He'd let me out of traffic, then I let him out ot access... I Think it was DAR29T.
My car MVC355 was a Coventry registration - where it was made
I'll be off to the hairdresser next Wednesday. Our meeting at church showed that a few of us are in dire need of the same. One of our churchwardens does a pretty good imitation of Hagrid at present.
However, the good news from the meeting is that we will be opening the church on the 19th of this month. A group of us have managed to keep in touch with our Zoom Matins, but it will be so good to be back in church for Mass. Although we met in the hall yesterday, we did go into church, and it looks so strange. In need of a good clean apart from anything else.
We now have a plan for reopening. I do wish the CofE would be a little more encouraging; their advice is so confused and negative. For example, a priest may kiss the altar at the start of Mass as usual, but no-one is allowed to touch the lectern. Why? It makes no sense at all. Paranoia seems to be the order of the day.
Good morning, villagers, from mild and bright Oxfordshire.
It is odd about churches opening, Judith. Our village church is still closed but at least one of the other two where the vicar takes services is already open. No singing though. The vicar has still not recovered 100% from Covid-19, apparently. I'm told he has post-viral fatigue. Maybe that's why he's only going to one church.
Nothing planned here today. I'm feeling a bit rough after a broken night. Why is it that I can never dry my hair into anything as good a shape as when the hairdresser does it? I didn't actually wash my hair this morning, only dampen it a bit, but it was like a bird's nest after I'd been tossing and turning last night.
OH has gone for his daily walk. YD is working in her room.
Chicken report: Lottie and Dottie have laid eggs.

=^..^= What do you mean, there's no room in my shopping trolley? Of course there is.
No no no, you've got it all wrong. It's about archbishops and bishops playing dressy up and parading about;it's about endless meetings to discuss arcane stuff in a desperate attempt to seem relevant; it's about being in the House of Lords and making worthy speeches, cont pg 94. But best not mention God too much, as some people might be offended.
