For treatment of Sprinter Bianca Williams! About time!
I wondered just how many young white men driving expensive high powered cars have been randomly stopped and searched? Not too many by comparison

Had they been doing anything to arouse suspicion?

Had they been doing anything to arouse suspicion? Afaik only being young and black. I read that the Police thought they were driving too fast which of course no young white boy would ever do They had their baby son in the car so I doubt they would be doing anything to put him at risk

The Met claimed that they were 'driving suspiciously, including on the wrong side of the road', and sped off when requested to stop - All of which the athletes deny. The Met maintain they did nothing wrong and have only apologised for 'any distress caused' not for any of their actions. No expanation of why they felt the need to handcuff the parents of a 3 month old baby and take them both away from their child while they carried out a search of their car that lasted 45 minutes. Good news is that the case has been referred to IOPC - but only because there's been so much public pressure. I doubt it would have happened otherwise.
