Good morning, villagers, from cool and sunny Oxfordshire.
Not such a good morning for me. I must have eaten something that disagreed with me yesterday (draws veil). I've been awake for much of the night and have told the craft group that I'll not be there this morning. I was actually asleep when OH returned from swimming but he accidentally woke me. I may go back to bed to try to sleep a bit more.
Sorry you're not well, Cookie. Good to see you, OW! It's a cloudy but not too cold day. Having completed one dress, I am now in the middle of cutting out another. I need to plant some bulbs, but I don't think I have enough compost. Must check prices online.
I feel quite a lot better now. I did get another couple of hours' sleep. In fact I didn't go upstairs but slept in my recliner. When I woke up I finished the last pair of crocheted hair slides for CK4. DiL2 had asked for some different colours. Everything is now in two boxes ready to send - Lego/Playmobil/Revell Truck Advent calendars, clothes, chocolates, sherbet fountains and hair slides.
OH has been doing a lot of cleaning while I was incapacitated.
YD has been working on her final project, and talking to her art group friends.
I took the Map of Ambridge off the dining room table and put it on the sofa. When I woke up from my nap this is what I saw: tinyurl.com/y58cjtn8 Marie had made herself comfortable.
Chicken report: two eggs, from Lottie and Dottie. Pearl got herself locked out of the Eglu tonight and OH had to rescue her. She was sitting on top of the Eglu.

That's the trouble with Pussycats and Sewing - Their sight is good for finding Dormice in the shrubberry at Dusk at distance, BUT I always fear for their eyes that they dont see a stationeery needle at close querters when they find a comfortable space that is FAR more important.
Greetings, villagers, from cool and bright Oxfordshire. The sun has been out quite a lot, but it has now clouded over.
I'm late in today having made up some of the sleep I missed the night before. I feel a lot better today than I did yesterday. A quiet day is planned, at least until aqua tonight.
YD is in her room. She put in an appearance at breakfast apparently, though I haven't seen her. OH went for his walk this morning. He saw the vicar out jogging, rather red in the face. OH was a bit concerned. The vicar and his wife both had Coronavirus quite badly back in the spring. He's obviously trying to get fit again.
It's been a beautifully warm day here again, marred by by caravan problems. We have 80% damp in one part of the van, and although it's covered by insurance, it does mean that we face a possible long wait to get it sorted - anything from 2 weeks to 2 months, we're told. So no Autumn trip anywhere.
however, I managed to plant a salvia, and some gillyflowers this afternoon.
I have another dress cut out, pinned up and ready to sew. Tomorrow looks like rain, so no bulbs will be planted, and dressmaking may be done.
Covid restrictions here so complex that even the PM who decreed them doesn't manage to understand them.
I made a mushroom and cheese quiche for dinner, and once again we had raspberries from the garden.
Greetings, villagers, from cool and very wet Oxfordshire. The last day of September - there's a song there somewhere.
OH went for his swim, followed by his daily walk before the rain began in earnest.
YD is doing her weekly livestream.
My friend JA has phoned. Neither of us was at craft group on Monday. I was unwell and she had to go to her sister-in-law's funeral in Kent. We have caught up with news. She would have walked round here, except she has a very painful foot, which the GP has tentatively diagnosed as gout. He wasn't 100% sure because it's her foot affected, not her toes. Let's hope the medication works.
I have worked on the Map of Ambridge some more, having removed it from the sofa when Marie deigned to get up. She was there all day yesterday, until hunger forced her to leave. The cat has got her revenge by now sitting in my recliner!
