Just in case you fancy playing yourself or testing your loved ones up close and personal or over Zoom etc. I´ve used this with some of my classes (I´m an efl teacher) and it is quite fun

A clip from The Nutcracker: www.youtube.com/watch?v=zPiAeTCBl9kIt's advertising the NY City Ballet's 2011 season (I think), but this is one of the scenes my ES was in for three seasons in the early 80s. Sadly his performance was never videoed (or at least I didn't get a pirate copy - I think one was made, but we moved to Virginia before I could find out). Actually the little blond boy on the right is the spitting image of my son, and is wearing the same costume! They use the same costumes until worn out, and take them off the children almost as soon as they come off stage!

Wow! I have never heard that instrument before, though I seem to recall one being found (damaged) on an antiques programme on TV.
