I love the gardenia bush, freesias and honeysuckle. I have a recumbent trike and in the spring one part of ghe cyckeway is awash with wild freesias and the smell is stunning.

The scent of roses on a warm summer's evening is a quintessential sent of summer.I am lucky to have Gertrude Jekyll roses by my front door and to open the door in the early evening is a Perfect end to the day.the scent often lingers until dusk.

Honeysuckle. I could get addicted to it.
and Roses. After my mum died I managed to get a couple of cutting of her favourite rose bush. I gave two away and kept one myself and it has flourished and the scent is wonderful.
My friend who looks after my horse had one of the other cuttings and I am so jealous as hers has flowered more times than mine, but I reckon she has a hepling hand with all the manure she has around the place.

Roses and sweet peas in summer and early narcissi and lily of the valley in spring. Interesting comment from the flower arranger yesterday was how gypsophilia can trigger asthma

Didn't know that P. Luckily I'm not an asthma sufferer.

Nothing can beat the smell of a nice bacon sandwich.

You grow bacon sandwiches in your garden. LP?
We have one kind of irises that have been here since my grandparents' time, and they have the most wonderful scent. I smell them every day during their short flowering season.
I love sweet peas and old roses too. At the foot of the steps we have a Felicity and Perpetua climbing rose, which is a bit of a hooligan. It only flowers once a year, but it produces so many flowers that the scent is wonderful.

Doesn't everybody? My onions grow in rings and ready battered and you should see the black-pudding plants I'll be picking from in the Autumn.

Personally, I'm looking forward to the spaghetti harvest - it's just so amazing this time of year, watching the strands of linguini and angel-hair draped over the branches of the pasta trees ripening in the sun.

I've already shot a few lasagne this season. Cleaning and slicing them takes the time, but then drying them in this weather is easy.

I had to give up eating wild lasagna, the lead shot kept getting stuck in the gap in my teeth.
