You can think as much as you like, Bear.
But this remains as the Cool Area. We have the space under the aga for the winter. Like I said... You're just jealous. It'll be a tight squeeze under the Aga... Me and 80+ seals - or winter rations as I prefer to call them.

Yes, had a good morning. Met someone I met on FB through other friends for coffee and cake. She was collecting some things her daughter had commissioned me to make for her wedding. Money changed hands and will go to the charity I support. Chocolate tart was excellent.
Been sorting out an area of the house which is Full Of Clutter. Boring but necessary.
And watched an old Arthur Askey film. We've discovered a freeview channel which shows old films which we record. Better than a lot of modern stuff.
And how are you?

Is that the Talking Pictures one Mermaid? ( Channel 81 ) Might be worth you looking to see if you have The Paramount Channel. The Sony Channels and a few other odd's and ends. Talking Pictures is a great channel. Lots of British films, not just comedy. Plus many b-features from the 40's and 50's - and all recordable. I'm fine thank you Merm's - apart from complaining about the weather. 01.05 Friday as I write this AND STILL RAINING.

Yes, Talking Pictures. More on there than we have time to watch. Not sure what other channels we have - we have Freeview. No satnav.
Clear, rainwashed sky and sun here. Still quite blowy. And the milkman has left 3 pints for some reason when I only normally have 2. Blancmange for tea tonight.

So you you probably have about 70 or 80 channels in total (including the shopping channels). Probably enough to keep you entertained cue: Hovis bread music.Eeee... When I wer't lad, us only 'ad two channels and then from't mid 60's three tv channels. You tell the kids that today and they don't believe you.Gusty wind and rain here all night Dry and sunny now, but with a chilly breeze.

When I as a Lad we didn't have .. wot's it called - Tellyvision. Then a Near neighbour got one and I was allowed to go and watch. Sometimes even when Broadcasts were received ("Whirlygig" up till 6 pm on Saturday). Then out to play in the woods ... The woods (surprisingly) still exist. Do you think TV will make a comeback?

Not sure if we're Stockland or Mendip. I think if it's Mendip, you'll receive Bristol Live - the channel for for Bristol Local TV. If it's Stockland, I don't think you get that one. Other than that, the channels will all be the same. I'll find the relevant Freeview site later and see which provides the signals into your area.

I think it depends which side of the town we live. Some get one, some the other. Local news for us is Points West, from Bristol.

I think Stockland takes local news programs from Plymouth But all of the networked programs on the main multiplexes are the same on all main transmitters. I get Mendip here. The signals go up almost as far as Hereford. I also get Ridge Hill the Hereford Transmitter and the Llanfoist Booster, which provides Wales region TV.
