What sewing machine(s) do you have?
I ahve a Janome 419. Very basic but got me started on my sewing and quilting journey. I still use it to take to workshops as it is not temperamental and does a lovely straight stitch without complaining.
I have a permanently set up machine an Elna Quilting Queen. I was very proud the day I bought this. I had lusted after a computerised sewing machine for ages but didn't and couldn't justify the cost then this one came up as a special offer at my local sewing machine dealers, It was an ex demo but well looked after. I don't move it about too much as I am scared it will fall and upset the settings.
I also have a Pfaff embellisher. Which isn't really a sewing machine, but is great fun.

I have a Jenome at home and travel with a very basic Brother. I had a Husqvana for many years but it overheated and started smoking so it was goodbye. I would love an overlocker but can't justify the expense of one.

I have a frister and rossman treadle with mother of pearl inlay on tablea and cover. Made circa 1890 and still going strong. I did have a cheap electronic silver embroidery machine that kept conking out. Love the old stuff. Attachments:

I have a Janome Sewist, the one they used in the 2018 great British sewing bee, I have a cheap singer overlocker from Lidl, a singer hand crank circa about 1910 for sewing when I am on the market, and a frissman and rossman treadle circa 1890. I love sewing machines. I love sewing.

I have an Husqvarna Sapphire 875 quilt which I love 😍😍. I had an Husqvarna for my 18th birthday- 40 years ago 😲 which I used for 30 years before getting this one. My lovely husband made me a sewing room a few years ago - cutting table and everything- and cut a hole in a table to drop the sewing machine in. This is brilliant for quilting as you can lay the quilt flat which makes free motion so much easier.

I have a 1950s Singer treadle which sews beautifully but is used as a sewing table, Janome sewing machine, Janome embroidery machine and an overlocker. Don't sew as much as I used to but have a couple of projects I'd like to start 😊

I salivate over the names of these machines like some men over cars.

If only I knew how to use it...... My wife's Alfa sewing machine is under the stairs here in it's case. She had it from her parents in c. 1970. It's into heavy-metal too, GLO. I don't have the mobile crane needed to lift and carry it - I used to maintain the mechanics and electrics of the thing, so even though it's not been used in a decade, it probably still works.. I think I can predict it's ultimate future - once female relatives have decided they don't need it... It'll be a boat-anchor.

One coffee later - I can now confirm that I meant "Sails", not "Sales". ... although on second thoughts.....
Ain't it Cable Stitch for the Chain.
Oh, it's first Working Day of the Month, and first day of the week: I'd better see if my pension payees have made me Solvent enough to buy Human and Moggy food... But I'll take a Mask, just in case Bank is skint.

I also have a Pfaff embellisher. Which isn't really a sewing machine, but is great fun. What exactly is an embellisher, what is it used for? I've seen these on various sewing shops online but never worked out what they are used for. My Janome came with a "free" quilting kit, including a raised table extension and a walking foot. If only I could quilt!
