Good morning . or is it ? We've been marrooned. council have dug up outside ours and got their lorry across the junction so we can't get out. Supposed to be digging up and replacing the access to our drive but I've no idea what they're doing atm. Havespoken to themand they promised we won't be left withno way in or out, they'll leave it safe. But they've dug up the kerbstones ? ? Still bitterly cold here.

Like I said, Councils do that .. I once worked in Local Gov - A Householder had just paid the Council, to lower the Kerbstones, Remove the Flagstones, and dug/hardcored/laid Load-carrying-Concrete to provide a Vehicle entrance across the pavement to his house and Garage. It cost him a few Hundred quid. Fortunately they managed to get it done almost two weeks before the took out the whole road (incl His Entrance) to relay with new paving, kerbs, and Vehicle crossovers...
As that Disc-jockey of the time used to advertise "You KNOW it makes sense" ....

Good Morning. Raining hard and still cold.
The path menders have given up and gone home or sheltering in their vans. They couldn't dig our drive access yesterday so they dug up a neighbours front lawn ( a backhander no doubt lol ) All supposed to be finished today but they've still got a load of rubble dumped on the path and cordoned off, round the corner. Can't see our bit being done. I don't want tar slurry on "our" bit, it gets on shoes and trodden in the carpets. Heyho! Not our bit of drive so I've got no say.

Good morning. We're cut off.. the drive access has been dug up and got barriers round it. Starting to fill with some cement/gravel mix and leveled off but not being resurfaced until tomorrow. It will be ok to drive over once whacked down. Better weather today.

Good morning . Totally blocked drive.. and the path menders have gone. no one around at all, even their refuge cabin has gone. we want to get out and can't.. The barries are too heavy for us to lift, so I've made a formal complaint. Someone is coming out to look.
