Just got back. What bliss. Bought some buttons, som earrings with crochet in them, a skein of wool so I can finish my Skye jumper, a vintage wool blanket I am going to make a coat out of, a vintage piece of upholstery fabric I will make into a bag, a vintage fox terrier picture (see face book if you know me) a knitting pattern for dog coats, a needlefelting needlepen. Stroked some amazing sheep, got very wet in the rain running from the car to the event, ate a bacon sarnie, saw loads of beautiful things that people make out of wool, oh, and bought a hat.
just had summat to eat and going to write some more of my novel now. It has been a jam packed weekend. Yesterday was another day altogether. Went to my fave fabric shop in Burnley, went to a comedy night in goole and managed a sesh in our writers cafe in Huddersfield. Back to work tomorrow, sob.

Interesting bits - wool (and what is the Skye jumper?), the blanket, the fabric, is the pic or the dog the vintage bit (cos I can't look on FB as I am obviously not a suitable person to be a friend on there ;-) ) - any of the other wool bits, and why can't I be part of a writing group?
I'll breathe again now after that lot :-D

I always think of shades of blue due to the colour of the stunning scenery there so I am making a jumper with wool bought there in shades of blue. We have a great writing group, I have been going to it for years. If you are on fb, shall I pm you with my name?

Interesting with the Skye thing, I've been looking for a second hand knitting machine as I want to do something similar about somewhere I love, but would prefer to do it in finer wool (I knit mostly with multi strands and use big needles and texture) hence wanting another Bond. I used to have one but it had to be kept in a shed and went rusty :-(

Wouldn't we all go rusty if left in a shed.

I did a hat in similar colours too. That is one thing I love about autumn, I can wear my motley array of mohair scarves and hats. i have a great collocation of Scottish and Irish woven mohair scarves.

Re knitting machine - probably a Bond like I had before, though if something else emerges I will think about it.
